Senior Technical Analyst
Take the next step in your career as a data-driven Senior Technical Analyst within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function. You will support a large-scale and complex IAM solution, contributing to enhancements, projects and initiatives that underpin the department’s workforce identity data lifecycle, while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a technically focused environment.
About this role
What you'll do
In the Senior Technical Analyst role, you will deliver strong technical analysis outcomes across IAM enhancements, projects and initiatives, undertake data validation and cleansing using multiple authoritative sources, perform dataflow mapping and data visualisation, and design, develop, deliver and maintain IAM dashboards, reports, data dictionaries and other data assets. You will liaise with customers to understand data and information needs, provide expert advice, support operational and project activities, and contribute to the ongoing management, maintenance and improvement of IAM data services and capabilities.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated expertise in analysing and working with large, complex, multi‑dimensional datasets, including data validation, reconciliation, migration testing and ad‑hoc analysis.
- Strong technical skills in data visualisation and reporting (Power BI), data manipulation (SQL), and relational databases (MS SQL), with experience working with IAM data including Active Directory and/or Entra ID.
- Demonstrated exposure to ITIL Service Management processes including incident, problem, change and configuration management, preferably using ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to design, develop, maintain and continuously improve dashboards, reports, insights and data assets in line with enterprise architecture, governance, policies and standards.
- Well‑developed communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, provide expert advice, influence stakeholders, and manage priorities to meet service and project deliverables.
