About your role
As the Nurse Unit Manager for the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit (NMPDU), you will provide advanced leadership and operational management to support nursing and midwifery education, workforce capability and professional development across Metro South Health.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit
- Provide strategic leadership across education and workforce priorities
- Manage human, financial and material resources effectively
- Support attraction, recruitment and retention initiatives
- Drive quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning and capability development
About you
You are an experienced and influential nursing leader with a passion for education, workforce development and continuous improvement.
You will demonstrate:
- Advanced leadership and management capabilities
- Experience within education or workforce development settings
- Strong workforce planning and resource management skills
- Expertise in recruitment, onboarding and succession planning
- Experience managing budgets and operational performance
- Ability to analyse data and monitor key performance indicators
