Staff Specialist (Urologist)
Metro North Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Staff Specialist (Urologist) to deliver high quality, cost effective clinical and non clinical services across Redcliffe Hospital and the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

About the role
The Staff Specialist (Urologist) will provide high‑quality, patient‑centred urological care across Redcliffe Hospital and the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS). This dual‑site role delivers a broad scope of contemporary urology practice, including elective and emergency services, outpatient care, endoscopic and major operative procedures, and opportunities to participate in robotic‑assisted surgery.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Redcliffe Appointment:
- Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Initiate and be responsible for the clinical care of patients while in the Urology Department
- Arrange patient management in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
- Consult with other hospital staff as required with respect to patient management and related issues.
STARS Appointment:
- Operate as professionally responsible to the Director Procedural Services. Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Provide specialist urology services for patients undergoing elective surgery.
- Undertake urology outpatient consultations and other specialist services as required.
- Access to Robotic assisted surgery once a MN robotic surgery SoCP is approved.
