Clinical Nurse Consultant - Emergency Department (Mental Health)

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is required to lead and deliver expert clinical leadership in the provision and coordination of contemporary, person-centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to work as a defined clinical specialist within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is expected to demonstrate an advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice and decision making in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
• Applies professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and midwifery and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
• Responsible for enacting strategies that supports a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development.
• Provide leadership in professional decision -making through the application of advanced clinical knowledge and skills.

Remuneration value up to $124 628 p.a, comprising salary rates $68.86 - $74.76 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NG7) (part-time, 56 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months / the duration of the vacancy.
