About this role
Your opportunity
The role of the Recreation Officer Healthy Ageing is to work collaboratively and harmoniously within a multi-disciplinary team, to plan, document, implement and evaluate a recreational therapy programs appropriate to the individual resident needs of Augathella Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS). Also have the ability to provide an innovative flexible person-centred approach when planning activities.
This role also provides a Healthy Ageing approach for long stay residents of Augathella MPHS. Incorporating and welcoming the older community residents to be involved in the activities you organise. Adopt a “Young and Old” collaborative approach to healthy ageing.
The very nature of what we do and who we are is the real opportunity. Providing health care support in the bush is full of challenges, however, it remains the most rewarding of human experiences.
